After an eleven-year hiatus, these two industry stalwarts have teamed back up to bring you 'Awake We Stay', the follow up to their classic "Sweat No Sleep". This is astral broken nu-jazz at its best, laced with Mark's impeccable keyboard playing and Martin's detailed beat production and final polish.
Using only analogue synthesizers on this one, Atjazz & Mark went in hard to get the best out of a short stay studio session at ARCo. Labs in 2018. Mark performed the majority of these takes on the Rhodes Piano MK2, Korg Mono/Poly & Minimoog, completely live, with no edits. After a few production sessions, Martin came through with the final mix.
Awake We Stay is a super energetic piece of work with a broken swagger only these two could bring to the table.
